Who We Are

When a major illness or tragedy hits a person's life, it can be hard to know how to respond; standard disciplemaking training and curriculum do not always equip us well to meet the moment. Our friends at Take Heart Cancer Community are well suited to help us navigate this important topic.

All pastors are encouraged to join, contribute to, and learn from these practical conversations aimed at encouraging sustained, reproductive disciplemaking in our churches. August's topic will be Disciplemaking in Small Groups.

With a huge variety in approaches to how to structure church, it's a valid question: why focus on disciplemaking, and what do we even mean when we say that? This talk will set up our series for the year and will dive into some fascinating research.

In our second installment of our Disciplemaking Essentials series, long-time discipleship practitioner and coach Doug Franck will help us dismantle some fears and misconceptions that can get in the way of our faithfulness, as well has help us discern who to invest our time and energy in discipling.

In our third installment of our Disciplemaking Essentials series, we will explore what good (and bad!) goals are in disciplemaking. Jenna Dascenzo has experience mentoring women from a range of different backgrounds, and has some insight into which goals are universal, and which are not.

In our fourth installment of our Disciplemaking Essentials series, Rachel will open with an overview of a flexible framework for disciplemaking, then Shawna Shepherd, Director of Pray for Columbus, will teach us how to help our disciples learn to pray!

In our fifth installment of our Disciplemaking Essentials series, Christopher Ledezma (or possible special guest) will walk us through excellent strategies to help our disciples learn to read, study, interpret, and apply scripture.
