“When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’" - Luke 10:8-11
How might God be calling those under our care to move out into the world and represent Him? Serving the poor, serving the Body of Christ, serving non-Christians, and of course, multiplying disciples are all pieces of the puzzle. How can we effectively coach in each area? In this 7th of 10 talks in our Disciplemaking Essentials series, we will consider best practices and key resources for doing just that.
Aaron Starr is the founder and overseer of Reach the Nations, International (RTNI) which serves underserved neighborhoods in hard-hit parts of our city through incarnational, life-on-life discipleship. What is unique and important about RTNI's model is the importance they place on replicative whole-life discipleship, helping inner-city youth see the role they have to play in global missions. Aaron's natural ability to coach this kind of ministry has led to abundant fruit. We are thrilled to learn from him!
Columbus Discipleship Network meets the third Thursday of the month for inspiration, equipping, and community for everyday disciplemakers. A catered lunch is provided free of charge, but we do ask that you RSVP. Feel free to invite anyone you think may benefit.
