Lunch Series: The Perils of Not Discipling

Grant Edwards began his ministry in the early 70’s. People were trusting Christ, but he quickly noticed a problem: most of these new believers had left the church within a year. His quest to change this led him to eventually found NextSteps Discipleship. Join us for "The Perils of NOT Discipling."

Event Details

Join us the third Thursday of the month for ted-style talks and honest conversation over lunch: inspiration, equipping, and community for everyday disciplemakers.

Grant Edwards began his ministry during the Jesus Movement during the early 70’s, when he led a group of newly converted, scraggly, non-conforming hippies to start a ministry called the One Way House. This ministry grew into Fellowship Christian Church, which he pastored for 49 years.

Grant's interest in First Steps discipleship began when he realized that 80% of those accepting Jesus walked away from faithfulness soon after conversion. First Steps Conversations is a 49-year researched and practiced one-on-one discipleship plan that reverses this trend. Over the past decades Grant has travelled internationally over 90 times and throughout the USA teaching First Steps Conversations and other materials. We are excited he has agreed to share his wisdom with the Discipleship Network! Join us for a meal, conversation, and a ted-style talk on The Perils of NOT Discipling

Anyone with any interest in disciplemaking is more than welcome to the table. Please pass this along to anyone you think may benefit. Lunch will be provided free of charge by a generous donor. Please join us!
