Lunch Series -- Stages of Discipleship
Babies and adults need different things, and that's true spiritually as well. A one-size-fits-all approach to discipleship is destined to fail. Laura Stoddard, gifted disciplemaker and coach at Dwell Community Church, will help us unpack how to disciple effectively in each stage.

In a quote attributed to Augustine, we are reminded that the Bible is "...shallow enough that a young child will not drown, yet deep enough for an elephant to swim."
Go too deep too quickly with a young believer and discourage them; stay too shallow with a more mature Christian and bore them. How can we effecitvely approach a believer at her/ his maturity level so as to provide appropriate challenge and growth? An awareness of the stages of maturity, and what a person needs to thrive along the way, will go a long way to helping our discipleship ministries flourish.
Laura Stoddard is a gifted disciplemaker and Bible teacher, and has a lot of quality content on this topic. A coach for Dwell Community Church, she has lots of experience helping other leaders apply this material as well. This talk promises to be extremely approachable and practical.
Columbus Discipleship Network meets the third Thursday of the month for inspiration, equipping, and community for everyday disciplemakers. A catered lunch is provided free of charge, but we do ask that you RSVP. Feel free to invite anyone you think may benefit.
