COHATCH UA -- The Lookout Room
Lunch Series -- Prayer & Fasting in Discipleship
"If you want to humble a Christian, ask him about his prayer life," goes the saying. Prayer and fasting are areas of particular weakness for those of us in the West. Join us as we learn from Ursula Kemp, Director of Pray for Columbus, on how we can disciple others into a robust prayer life.

About the Event
"Lord, teach us to pray," asked Jesus's disciples, famously. How many of us yearn for a deeper intimacy with the Lord? And further, how many of us want to impart that kind of intimacy with God into the lives of those we serve in discipleship? Could anything be more important? The American Church is not exactly known for a steadfast devotion to prayer, but there are individuals marked by a commitment to intimacy with God we can turn to for guidance.
Ursula Kemp has many qualifications to lead us in this area, and chief among them is her private, personal commitment to prayer. Her humble abiding in God spills out into city-wide efforts through Pray for Columbus, a decade-strong initiative that has spearheaded robust commitment to prayer for our city. Learn more about Ursula's excellent work at forcolumbus.org/pray, and plan to join us for this event!
Columbus Discipleship Network meets the third Thursday of the month for inspiration, equipping, and community for everyday disciplemakers. A catered lunch is provided free of charge, but we do ask that you RSVP. Feel free to invite anyone you think may benefit.
