Lunch Series -- Family Discipleship
It all starts in the home. What could be more important than raising the next generation with a Biblical literacy, strength in the Lord, and love for serving Him in the world? Mike Mattes, Executive Director of DadLab, will join us to share some practiced insights.

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." - Proverbs 22:6
“Family is culture at its smallest - and it’s most powerful.” Andy Crouch, Culture Making
Statistics illuminate a heart-breaking reality for many Christian parents: their children do not choose to faithfully follow Christ in adulthood. While no outcome is guaranteed, what can believing parents do to ground their children in truth in such a way that this Proverb rings true? What does real discipleship look like in the home? Mike Mattes of the Coalition for Christian Outreach, and more recently, Executive Director of DadLab, will join us to discuss what it looks like to encourage parents (and especially dads) to lean into their calling as faithful husbands and fathers.
Mike has ample ministry experience to be of value, but chief among his qualifications is his strong marriage to Beth and parenting of their three kids - Lucy, Peter, & Joseph. If you have children or work in an area of ministry to children, this talk will have some important principles to take away.
The Columbus Discipleship Network meets the third Thursday of the month for inspiration, equipping, and community for everyday disciplemakers. A catered lunch is provided free of charge, but we do ask that you RSVP. Feel free to invite anyone you think may benefit.
