Lunch Series -- Living out your God-ordained Purpose in Pursuit of Discipleship

God routinely describes the Church as a body of many parts - with each playing its role. At the heart of this metaphor is the idea that each of us has a specific purpose ordained by God. What's yours? And how can you help others pursue theirs? Kitty Allen will lead this conversation.

Why are you here?

The New Testament is replete with references to the idea that you have a specific purpose in His Kingdom, a role to play, ways to help equip, works of service to offer God's people. As Ephesians 2:10 says, "We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." What are those works? How would you know if you are fulfilling God's purposes in your life? Furthermore, how can you help those you mentor or disciple determine what this might look like in their own walks?

Kitty Allen, Senior VP of Disciple Ministry at Living on the Edge, has a long track record of helping people discover and live out their God-ordained purpose. After years of effective team building and executive leadership development, she joined staff at Living on the Edge where she oversees Primemovers, a ministry of Living on the Edge for marketplace leaders to help them discover and live out their Ephesians 2:10 calling from God. In her role, Kitty also oversees the discipleship resources that Living on the Edge delivers from broadcasting, to publishing, to free digital resources that help Christians live like Romans 12 Christians.

Columbus Discipleship Network meets the third Thursday of the month for inspiration, equipping, and community for everyday disciplemakers. A catered lunch is provided free of charge, but we do ask that you RSVP. Feel free to invite anyone you think may benefit.
